Only two weeks left to gather auction items!! Make sure your class qualifies for the Disco Glow Dance Party by bringing in donation items by 2/09. The donation cart will be in the car rider line starting this week to make it easy for dropping items. Or, you can send them in with your child or leave them in the front office. Please make sure to put your child’s name and classroom on the item so they will get credit.
The top class wins a Custom Stem Experience and the Top Student in every class wins a spot in the video game truck!

Junior Rangers for 3-5th Graders
The sessions are led by interpreters from TN State Parks, with backgrounds in science careers such as biology, geology, wildlife management, and others. This is an opportunity for the kids not only to learn about Tennessee's natural history, but also potential career options as they grow up.
A flyer will be sent home on Monday. Due to limited space, the Ranger Program can only accept 50 students. I have set up an email account:
If your child is interested, please email me beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
I will take the first 50 students who are registered.
Here is how to register:
Email me at jaerangers@gmail.com
List your student's name, grade level, and teacher's name.
By registering your child, you agree to pick your child up in front of the school by 4:45 each afternoon during the 5 days of participation.
Emails received before 8:00 a.m. on January 30th will not be accepted.
Attendance Reminders
You are allowed 5 parent notes per semester for absences. Whether the absences are related to illness, travel, etc., you may have 5 excused per semester with notes.
If your student(s) will be out of school due to travel, please notify the classroom teacher and our attendance secretary, Mrs. Rachelle Phelps, before the trip.
Attendance contracts become necessary when tardies/early dismissals or absences surpass the limit. Please be mindful of the importance of attendance on the progress and performance of our students. Of course, unfortunately there are extenuating circumstances, and we completely understand situations and illnesses arise. Thank you for your cooperation in getting your sweet children to school on time.
If you have any questions, you may refer to the student handbook located under the "Resources" tab in the app.
Reminders for Cafeteria Visitors
- Due to limited space, there are designated tables set up for family visitors outside the cafeteria.
- Due to lack of space and required supervision, students are not allowed to ask friends to join family visitors outside the cafeteria.
- You may not exit the building with your student. Please remain in the visitor area, and say your goodbyes before the students return to class.
- We ask that parents limit additional guests to 2 in order to save space for other visitors.
- Federal guidelines prohibit outside restaurant items or soft drinks from being brought into the cafeteria. Our office staff will ask you to leave the food in the office, or the staff in the cafeteria may ask you to dispose of the items. School Nutrition Regulations are very strict, and our funding depends on compliance. Thank you for your help!
- All visitors should sign in at the front office where they will be given a visitor's badge.
- Students are allowed lunch visitors 1 time per week.
- Due to confidentiality, and the possibility of other students appearing within a photo, please refrain from taking pictures in the cafeteria or designated visitor tables.
