Leader in Me Parent Survey
Our school will be participating in the Measurable Results Assessment (MRA). The MRA is a set of surveys that provides our school with insights on the growth of our school and the areas we may need additional focus. The MRA includes a survey for the parents/guardians. The questions are about you and your child’s experiences with our school and your answers will be confidential and anonymous (you will not be asked to share your name or other identifying information). Thank you for taking a moment to complete this survey so that we can learn more about how we can continue to make our school a great place for students and their families.

5th Grade Peace Out Shirt for Sale - PTA sponsored
Dear 5th Grade Parents,
It’s hard to believe the 2020-2021 school is coming to an end and our 5th Grade Leaders will be heading to Middle school soon! To help celebrate their achievements, the PTA has teamed up with 4 Hour Tees to design a fun shirt for all of the 5th grade students to wear on their last day. We have left the back of the shirt blank for all of those signatures from students, teachers and staff. We would love for every student to wear this on the 26th but understand that this may not be the perfect time to purchase one more thing and that’s ok. There is a place on the order form for those that would like to sponsor another child (ren) and the PTA will cover the rest. FYI…If you choose to sponsor a child, the order form will not let you select a size. We’ll take care of that after all orders are received on May 13th. Shirts will be delivered to school by Friday, May 21st.
CONGRATULATIONS to your 5th Grade Leader!

Class Placement for 2021-2022
We are beginning to consider balanced class lists for next year. As professionals collaborate to create class lists, it is helpful to be aware of SERIOUS EXTENUATING* circumstances that might inhibit your child from being successful with his/her peers. If you have such a circumstance, please inform your child’s current classroom teacher before April 30th.
All requests will be considered, but may not be granted due to limited placement options.
When determining class lists, our focus is to create a balanced academic environment for all students. Therefore, teacher requests and requests to place students based on friendship will not be considered when placing students.
*Examples: Bullying, conflicts outside of school, students are related, social issues

innovation team spotlight
This Week's Featured Innovation Team: Future Leaders
In this team, we meet leaders of our community and learn what makes a strong leader. We are also setting the example for others at Siegrist to make a difference in our world by heading up a marker recycling program.
Fireside Chat with the Fam
Habit Highlight- Be Proactive
Focus Lesson- Explain that everything in our lives is in these circles. Your Circle of Influence (Control) contains the things you can directly influence in life. Your Circle of Concern (No Control) contains things that concern you but are outside your influence. Examples: my attitude, my reaction to what people say to me, the weather, etc. Remind your family that the only thing you have direct control over is yourself such as your thoughts, behavior, actions, attitude and choices.
At home extension to this week's innovation Team - As a family discuss different volunteer opportunities that are right here in our community. If you need help finding volunteer opportunities check out volunteermatch.org
