Our Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 14th and Tuesday, October 19th from 4:30-8:00 p.m. A link was emailed to parents on 9/10/21. Please click here to sign up.


4th & 5th Grade Parents - Your child will soon have the opportunity to participate in a short series of lessons called Human Growth & Development. Click here for more details on what is covered with 4th and 5th grade during upcoming Health Education classes. This document also contains an opt-out option if for any reason you would like your child to not engage in this learning.

Although our fair may look a bit different this year, many things are still the same. Children will find many of the most popular titles and authors in our case selections. Because of production, we do NOT have the volume that our families who have been around for a long time are used to. So as we say, buy early and often or use our alternative online shopping store at the link below. There you will also find the ever important E-WALLET! We are encouraging all families to use this as the preferred method of payment. If your child doesn’t use all the money that you load onto the account, that money will sit in your scholastic account for future use on a book order. This process makes shopping easier and safer for EVERYONE! No lost or misplaced money, no hand to hand contact, just easy peasy shopping FUN! Of course, we will accept cash, checks (Made out to Robinwood Spencer in exact amount-no change will be given from a check) and of course credit cards. Although BOOKS are the main focus there are many journals, pens and knick-knacks to buy. Please talk with your child about a budget, what your expectations are for them to spend in the fair and if you are okay with them buying anything. We always have this arise at least once during the fair and we find it best if addressed at home before kids attend. They’re so EXCITED that they sometimes forget to buy what they are there for.


As promised, we would be open to families during conference hours. Because of logistics our thought of having the carts outside will not realistically work. Therefore, we are being flexible and providing families with a shopping experience during their conference night with their child. (Parents must be present. (PLEASE DO NOT drop off your child to shop while you are in their conference. They must attend with you.) There will be a 5 family limit at one time and masks MUST be worn at all times regardless of vaccination status. Please check in at the library door and we will put you on the waitlist. You can either wait outside or in your car and we will call you when it’s your turn. Please be conscious of your time at the bookfair as we would like every family to have the opportunity to shop. We are limiting time in the shop so everyone can get a chance. Please don’t be offended if we ask you to wrap up your purchase. We want this to be a great experience for everyone and this is uncharted territory. We are doing our best to bring normalcy to our kids' lives again! PLEASE DO NOT call the office to ask questions as they are already very busy tending to students during the day. We will check our email periodically throughout the fair to answer all questions.

Next week students will be participating in the PACER test in Phy. Ed. Class. The PACER test is a test for your sons or daughters cardiovascular endurance. Students will run 20 meters before the beep from the recorder. After a set of laps, approximately 7 to 9 laps, the time between the beeps decreases slightly making it more difficult to complete the test. Each student gets two mistakes (not crossing the line before the beep), on the second mistake the students test is over and their number of laps completed is reported to the teacher.

On PACER test day students should have a healthy breakfast or lunch depending upon when they have Phy. Ed. class, wear gym shoes and bring water bottles to class.

The Robinwood RUSH is our one and only fundraiser for the year for PTO. Each child will be asked to run or walk around our Mr. Bauer designed course for 15-20 minutes. Each student will get information to sign up online and be sponsored either by lap or for the entire run with a straight donation. Children are encouraged to ask parents, grandparents, relatives, neighbors and friends. We DO NOT encourage door to door sales. There is a company we utilize to reach a social media audience and take donations online. All this information was sent home with your child on Tuesday, October 12th.

Every student that registers and gets a $10 donation will receive a pedometer to track their steps. We have some FUN incentives planned that will come out next week, so stay tuned!

We will be asking parents to help for this event! 20 Parents will be allowed to help run the event, we just ask that you’re able to stay all day. Lunch will be provided for ALL volunteers!

The Robinwood Spiritwear Store is making its appearance again this year until October 26th. Due to production being at an all time low, there is a warning as you enter the site. PLEASE read it before purchasing. The company we work through will do their best to fulfill all orders but many things are out of their control. They will make sure we receive our shipment BEFORE Christmas. Please let us know if any are a gift and you would like to pick up the order. There is a section in the notes to request this.

NATIONAL BUS SAFETY WEEK 10/11/21-10/18/21

The elementary school playgrounds have been reserved for the Community Education and Recreation Department Kids Club Programs Monday through Friday from the final afternoon bell until 5:00 pm. For the safety of all children, we are asking that non-Kids Club students refrain from using the playgrounds until after 5 pm on weekdays. Thank you.


It is always a good idea to have an extra mask in your student's backpack. We have had several students forget to bring a mask in the morning or lose their mask at lunch. Thanks for your help.


If your child has not had a picture taken already, it will be taken on Thursday, 10/28/21. Ordering information will be given out at the time of pictures.

If a picture was already taken, but a retake is needed, please let your teacher know so your child can be sent for pictures. Please return the original picture package to the photographer at the time of pictures. The same package will be ordered with the new image. New packages will not be received until the original package is returned.

Our FPS Food Service Department is currently experiencing a number of changes in food supply offerings due to shortages or certain items. If you have a child that has certain dietary needs or restrictions, please review the online Nutrislice menu offerings for your building more closely so you can be aware of any food items that may have been swapped. Our Food Service staff is updating the menu daily with changes and they expect regular updates and food replacements for the foreseeable future.


Click here to see pictures of the items in our lost and found. We will be purging lost and found items more often so it’s important for children to keep close tabs on their belongings. It is also suggested that if possible, student items be labeled with the first and last name on it so that we can get it back to the student if it becomes lost. All items not picked up after 2 weeks will be donated.

Please drop off all CLIPPED Box Tops by Thursday 10/21/21. They will be submitted before the 11/01/21 Box Tops expiration date. Box Tops can be sent to school in an envelope or plastic baggie and placed in the bin near the main office. Make sure each clipped Box Tops has a clearly visible product acronym and expiration date.
