Center for Spirituality Newsletter - February 2016

Dear Campus Community,


Each semester the Center for Spirituality invites students, faculty and staff to connect with a variety of religious and spiritual groups on campus. ALL ARE WELCOME to respond to one or more of the following groups that may be of personal interest.


Alternative Spiritual Humanists (ASH): Weekly gatherings for those that identify as spiritual but not religious, not religiously affiliated, or religiously affiliated but would like to participate in focusing on individual spirituality. If you want to be on the ASH email, please respond to our ASH student leader, Angela Tona at atona6@mail.naz.edu


Catholic: Weekly Masses on Sundays at 7:00 PM and Wednesdays at 12:30 PM in the Linehan Chapel. If you are interested in receiving the CATHOLIC e-bulletin please respond to our Catholic Chaplain, Jamie Fazio at jfazio1@naz.edu


Jewish: Shabbat Services alternating Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. If you would like to be on the list of JEWISH students, faculty and staff, please respond to our Hillel Leader, Cantor Sam Asher at hillel@naz.edu


Muslim: Special events, dinners and activities. If you would like to be on the MUSLIM STUDENT ASSOCIATION list, please contact our MSA student leader, Bibi Amin at bamin4@mail.naz.edu


Nazareth Christian Fellowship: Weekly meetings held on Wednesdays at 8:45 pm in the Meditation Room. The first meeting of the semester will be Wednesday February 3. All are welcome for a time of Bible study, fellowship, snacks, and prayer. Contact Claire Sobraske, csobras3@mail.naz.edu, or Ceara Curry, ccurry6@mail.naz.edu for more information.


Protestant: Weekly worship service Sundays at 8:30 PM in the Linehan Chapel. If you are interested in receiving the weekly PROTESTANT e-bulletin please respond to our Protestant Chaplain, Nadia Mullin, nmullin7@naz.edu


Quaker: Weekly meetings are held Tuesdays at 8:00 pm in the Meditation Room. All are welcome! Contact Sarah Mongeau, smongea7@mail.naz.edu, if you are interested in more information.


Yoga Community: Five open classes per week (see CFS website for times at -http://www.naz.edu/center-for-spirituality/yoga ). If you would like to be on the YOGA COMMUNITY email list, please contact the Director of the CFS, Lynne Boucher atlbouche9@naz.edu


Zen Meditation: Weekly meditation sessions on Mondays at 1:30 PM (starting September 28th) in the Linehan Chapel. If you would like to be on the list for ZEN MEDITATION, please respond to Faculty Advisor, Renee van der Vennet at rvander3@naz.edu
