This will be our last weekly update for the year. We would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your support over the year. We have loved teaching the Year 3 girls, your daughters, and will miss them next year. We hope you have a lovely Christmas break with your family and friends.

WEEKLY LEARNING INTENTIONS

We include the learning intentions so you have a better understanding of what the girls are going to be learning in class. You may like to support your daughter further in these areas.

Maths:
  • Revise 'number' and addition, subtraction, multiplication and division strategies
Reading:
  • Independent inquiry research
Writing:
  • Note taking about ancient civilisation

Speaking:

  • Present independent inquiry to the class

Current Unit of Inquiry - Where We Are in Place and Time

The central idea is:

Evidence of past civilisations can be used to make connections to present day societies.


The lines of inquiry are:

  • Characteristics of civilizations and societies

  • Connection between past and present

  • Processes involved in collecting, analysing and validating evidence

CHRISTMAS CRAFT SESSION

On Tuesday 8th December we will be having a Christmas Craft session between 10.30-12.30pm.

JUNIOR SCHOOL FINAL ASSEMBLY DETAILS

Date: Tuesday 8 December
Time: 2.00 ­ - 3.00 pm
Venue: Swim & Recreation Centre

The girls have been busy rehearsing for this assembly and are very excited to share this with you. All parents are welcome.

Please tie your daughter's hair in a high pony tail, with no scrunchie. We have red and green ribbons which we will put in their hair for the assembly.

Please ensure your daughter wears full PE uniform; white shirt, blue shorts, white socks and sneakers. (white shoelaces please)
