Madison Well Represented at NGSS Summer Training!
Six Science Teachers from Madison traveled to Raritan Valley Community College from July 25 - July 29, to participate in the week long Science Education Institute. This professional development opportunity focused upon NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards). The experience provided opportunities for our science teachers from MJS and MHS to collaborate and create while learning and reviewing NGSS CCC's (Cross Cutting Concepts), SEP's (Science and Engineering Practices), and DCI's (Disciplinary Core Ideas). Participants this year include: Allison Bell (MJS), Karen DeTrolio (MHS), Patrice Donnelly (MJS), Luis Largo (MHS), Suzanne Monkemeier (MHS), and Barbara Zabel (MJS). They are looking forward to sharing what they have learned and collaborating together again in the near future. They join Monica Brady, Kevin Braine and Carole Rawding who all attended this event last summer.
