Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
I hope 2022 is off to a good start for you and your family. I know for many of us, the holiday break and our first week back together were impacted by COVID. As a school community, we must remain vigilant and continue to do our part to minimize the spread. Please, read on for important information from the district regarding weekly pooled testing and what to do if your child displays symptoms.
Please, enjoy the great work of our students, showcased below. You'll see narrative writing from grade 3, radial symmetry from grade 3, and gingerbread glyphs from grade 2.
Mask Up for School and Buses
Please remember to send your child to school each day with a mask and replacement in case the first gets soiled. Students should also be wearing a mask on the bus at all times. Please remind your student to do so.
Cold Weather Clothing
We make every effort to go outside for recess, mask breaks, and snack, even when it is cold out. Please be sure to send your child to school with a coat or jacket, hat, and gloves. When the time comes and the white stuff flies, please remember snow pants and boots if your child wants to play in the snow. Students without snow pants and boots will remain on the blacktop area during recess.
Items from Home
We have noticed an increase in personal items from home coming to Woodward. When these items go missing or break, it can be very upsetting for students and families who purchase them and also takes away from the time on learning. Please help us by reminding your student that unless specified by a teacher, toys games, cards, etc should remain at home. Anything that is brought from home is the responsibility of the student.
