Fever 1793

Matilda Cook
Matilda in Fever 1793 By Laurie Halse Anderson in the beginning of the book was lazy, despite her age. I say this because at the very first sentences of the book her mother tries to wake her up, but Matilda doesn't get up and goes back to sleep, which proves my claim of Matilda being lazy. Her mother says so herself in the next few sentences, saying "I can't tell who's lazier, Polly or you". This evidence is important because if I had made a claim, saying she was not lazy, I would have no evidence to prove that point.
