Congratulations to Mrs. Angela Lang for being named Principal of Pike Road School
We are excited to announce that the Pike Road Board of Education named Mrs. Angela Lang as principal of Pike Road School, effective January 1, 2016. Mrs. Lang is a true leader and has been instrumental in the start up of Pike Road School. She thoroughly understands The Pike Road Way, has a heart for all children, and is a continuous learner.
Congratulations to Mrs. Angela Lang as the new Principal of Pike Road School!
Mayor’s Marathon Challenge (Montgomery)
March 12th Riverwalk Stadium
The City of Montgomery, Montgomery Multisport and Publix are partnering to bring
the PUBLIX Mayor’s Marathon Challenge to the Montgomery Marathon on March
12th. Each student that wants to participate will run a cumulative 25.2 miles during
their PE class or at home and then run the last one mile of the marathon on March
12th in downtown Montgomery finishing inside Riverwalk Stadium. Each
participant will receive a shirt, personalized bib and a finisher’s medal
commemorating their marathon accomplishment. Each student will have their face
on the big screen as they run inside Riverwalk Stadium to the finish line in
centerfield!
Registration fee is $15 and due to Coach Klinger by February 8th. Please make cash payment. Parent/Guardian must sign a waiver to participate.

Community Three's Night At The Museum
Our learners determined that they wanted to share history through a museum.
We will have our "Night At The Museum" on Wednesday, December 16 from 6:00-7:00.
The museum will be in the Community Three area.
This opportunity for our learners to share history and what they have made will be a fun night for you and your family. Come join us!

Community four learners have been hard at work creating a Community Museum to share their learning about the American Civil War. The learners are eagerly anticipating their Pow Wow visitors and are currently writing invitations to Community Three.

Students have been working hard on their Exit 16 Redesign Project; they are preparing for their presentation to the Town of Pike Road Planning Commission on Monday.
As part of our unit, one of the Pike Road firefighters talked with our learners
about keeping our community safe. Learners also created
fire safety plans for their homes.

Learners will continue their physical fitness tests through December 18th. Please ensure that they have proper footwear so that each learner can achieve their personal best! Contact your homeroom lead learner if you are unsure when your child has Health and Wellness class.
