Muraski TEAM Memo
For the Week of September 24th
What a TEAM!
Here's an email I got from our Teammate over in Czechoslovakia!
Just had a chance to go on the Muraski website and saw the T E A M photo, with all the students posing--that looks awesome! How did you get the photo?
Life here is different--challenging with different technology, language, no car, but the people are wonderful, helpful and kind! We're adjusting, but the system is different, and it's been a lot to grasp. Hopefully I'll start to feel more comfortable soon. And the students are very sweet--especially for high school!:)
Tell everyone that the first week of school here (last week) was just as exhausting as the first week of school there, until you get in the swing of things. I miss you all, and hope you're all doing well!

PBIS Assembly this week - Thursday at 2:15pm
At the assembly; I will be talking about PBIS/ TEAM atmosphere/and desired expected behavior at Muraski. I will be introducing all the team members (teachers and classes) at the beginning...but, the tone of the assembly will not be hyped up.
The first reward will be given to all our students - we will show a quick 20-30 minute video to everyone. (TBD)
We will also give the first trophy.
Please plan to come together at the end of the month, every month, in a small assembly, to award the trophy and then give the reward for positive behavior. - Monthly REWARD DAYS will be at 2:30, starting in the gym...and then activities planned from 2:45-3:10pm.
3 (4) Things to do this week...
1. All students need to be assessed in the Lexia program by Friday this week!
3. Please fill out at least 1 All Star of the Day, so you know the procedure to keep submitting.
Once you have created, print and put in the green bucket, like we have done in the past for student of the day.
4. MATH COMMITTEE TEAM: Make sure you have finished the needed data for our meeting on October 1st....We will need to be making some decisions to move our team forward. See agenda, section in Red, for what was decided at our September meeting.
UDL Focus on Engagement - Access, Build, and Internalize
Build - Sustaining Effort and Persistence - Means the teacher has created a "buy in" for the students, teacher and student are working together to become expert learners.
Internalize - Self Regulation - Means students are working with the guidance of the teacher to obtain goals, after the teacher has set up the strategies for success, to become expert learners.
UDL at It's Finest in Art! Multiple means of Engagement-Students at their seats finishing their paper bag frog art project...while students who finished that are drawing a frog... step by step on the floor with the artist on the smart board!😁
