A little about us

Mrs. Anderson has been teaching at Litchfield for seven years. She attended the University of Akron and completed her Masters at Grand Canyon University. Mrs. Joseph is her paraprofessional and they have worked together for 6 years. They enjoy arts and crafts and helping out with the school play. Mrs. Anderson loves to travel and is excited to share the knowledge she has gained in her travels. Mrs. Joseph knows everything there is to know about nature and gardening, which makes hikes very educational.

Mrs. MacDougall has been teaching for 7 years and this is her first year at Litchfield. She attended Kent State University and completed her Masters at the University of Louisville. She is very excited to be here and looks forward to getting to know each and every one of her students and parents! Mrs. Mathews is her paraprofessional and this is her first year at Litchfield as well. She also attended Kent State University and has her Associates Degree from Cuyahoga Community College. In her spare time she loves to read and attend Kent State basketball games.

Reach Out and Dance

We are very fortunate to have this program back for 2015-2016!

Since 1998, Reach Out and Dance® (ROAD®) has brought arts education to area schools through 30 week in-school residencies. ROAD®'s Broadway style residencies bring professional dance and voice instructors and pianists into classrooms, and culminate with an in-school end of session performance for parents and peers. ROAD®, our largest community outreach program, utilizes the energetic instruction of dance, voice and drama to help children experience teamwork, self-discipline and increased self-esteem in the classroom. Ballet Excel Ohio is fortunate to have partnered with many community foundations to bring ROAD® to the community at no cost to participants.

Our topic for September is "We live in the United States" , this will address the rights and freedoms when living in the U.S. The September IB traits are communicator and knowledgeable.
