The Communique' is an internal publication for staff of the Fulton School District. The first issue was published in 1988, with a four-year hiatus along the way. News mentioned within is submitted by the staff and relates directly to staff members and their families. If you have news to share, please submit to your building representative.

The SLPs at FEC both drank out of the same water fountain! Ashley Kreyling is expecting a child on July 4 and Jourdan Nichols on August 8! Congrats!


Please keep Kara Wilkerson in your thoughts this summer. Kara is having ankle surgery which is why she is looking for a knee walker on Bulletin Board!

Congratulations to Hannah Babcock! Hannah received her MED in Athletic Administration from William Woods University on May 7.


Congratulations to Betty Bill, Lyn Dacey, and Carol Robertson. With a combined total of 74 years with Fulton Public Schools, these ladies are all retiring! Enjoy!

Tiffany Sargent, ELA teacher at FMS, graduated from William Woods University with her Master's in Educational Technology. Yay, Tiffany!!!


Congratulations to Baileigh Horstmeier, daughter of Darren and Stephanie Horstmeier, who was named the 1st Vice President of the Missouri FFA State Organization. She is the first member of the Fulton FFA Chapter to be named to a State Office position in the history of the chapter. Baileigh also received her State Degree this year which is the highest honor FFA issues at the high school level. Baileigh finished 1st in Area 4 speaking contest and was a member of the horse judging team that finished 16th at State.


McKayla Ebersole (FHS 2013), daughter of Tracy Hook, secretary at the Middle School, will receive her Associates Degree from MACC 5/13/16. Tracy's younger daughter, Haylee Ebersole (FHS 2015), finished her first year of college at MSU.


Laura Williams, math teacher at FMS, became Mrs. Aaron Howard on March 5th at the Kansas City LDS Temple. Congrats Laura and Aaron.


Congratulations to Patrick Mudd and Linda Baysinger. They are both retiring at the end of the school year. They comprise one-half of the science department!


Megan Youse, PE/Health teacher at FMS, and Jenny Preiss will be united in marriage on June 25th.

Congratulations to Adrienne Ebersole (FHS 2013), daughter of Heidi Ebersole, who was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the academic fraternity for the National College Athlete Honor Society. Chi Alpha Sigma works with NCAA and NAIA member institutions to recognize outstanding college student-athletes for their successes both on the field of competition and in the classroom.

District Employee News

Jakob Hull (FHS 2013), son of Dr. Suzanne Hull, is a Junior Psychology and Economics major at Missouri State University and has had the opportunity to conduct research with a graduate student in the field of Industrial Organizational Psychology this year. Jakob will be listed as a co-author when the research is published. The research focuses on validity testing for predicting character failure.


Andrew Snethen (FHS 2012), recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Central Missouri with a bachelors degree in Drafting and Design. He will begin his career with Burns and McDonnell in Kansas City on June 13.
