Dewey Tiger Tale
June 1, 2021
Principal's Message
Hello Dewey Families-
It’s hard to believe but we are only one week away from the end of the school year. Next week marks the end of a year that will go down in the history books.
First, I’d like to take this opportunity to acknowledge our staff. They have embraced the words flexible and adaptable. Throughout the year they have kept student learning as their focal point and have worked to ensure the best possible learning environment in an ever changing landscape. Next, I would like to thank you, our parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles and friends for coming together to not only support your child but all of our Dewey students. Through thick and thin you have closely partnered with us and one another to educate our students.
Lastly, I’d like to acknowledge our students for persevering through distance learning and adjusting (for many) to life back at school. We are all learning and reacclimating to in person schooling. I am hopeful and excited about what the upcoming school year will hold.
And the group that is most prevalent on my mind are our 6th graders. For many, they have been at Dewey since Kindergarten. I know this was not how they envisioned their last year as a Dewey Tiger, but we are excited for this next step in their educational journey. Congratulations 6th Graders! Once a Tiger, always a Tiger!!
Warmest Regards,
Ms. Parsley
