Black History Month
This month, we would like to CONGRATULATE Ms. Tamiko Jones for achieving her dream of completing a degree in Business Administration. We are very proud of this achievement and look forward to the many things she will accomplish moving forward. Read her story below.
Meet Tamiko Jones
Hello, my name is Tamiko Jones from Dallas, Texas. I am a school bus driver at the Lawnview Service Center and I just graduated from Texas Woman’s University of Denton and am a non-traditional student studying Business Administration with a major in Marketing. I also hold a Associates of Arts degree and a Cosmetology Educator license. My educational journey began 20 plus years ago until now. I am also a single mother of two adult men. My expectation is to transition upward into a career in transportation, and put my ideas and thoughts of creativity out into the world with my education. The dreams I have wanted in life have altered and changed over the years and some dreams seemed unreachable.
But through my life experiences, I have learned to keep striving for more and something wonderful will come to fruition sooner than expected. My dream is my loving, supportive and healthy family, all else is a bonus. My passion in life is having good moral values and work ethics along with being true to myself and others. I am passionate about cooking and learning as well as trying new things. I would like to be in an environment that will cultivate my creativity into a passion with purpose that will merge well with a team of innovators. This is my story and thank you for allowing me to share it with you!
