Halo Highlight: Remote Learning Hub at slchs.org

Dear St. Louis Catholic Community,

We can't stress enough how much we appreciate your willingness to be flexible as we continue to educate our Saints amid the uncertain times of this worldwide pandemic. All students will receive their first Remote Learning assignments from teachers by Friday, and always available on our website is a Remote Learning Hub with tips for students and parents, all of Ms. Orgeron's email updates, plus tech support and more. Click HERE to access the hub, and please bookmark the link!

Other Reminders:

  • For tech support, your student's first resource is Mrs. Melanie LeJeune. Email mlejeune@slchs.org with any questions. Remember to update your computer regularly!
  • If your student has any computer/hardware problems, the school office is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • During this closure, all extracurricular activities will be postponed or cancelled until further notice. This include sports, practices, club meetings, dance teams, and cheerleaders.
  • Please understand this is a rapidly changing event. The safety of our students and employees is our top priority.

Academics

Course Requests Open for Next Year!

Returning students are able to go into FACTS SIS (RenWeb) to complete their course requests. Look under STUDENT > COURSE REQUESTS, and don't forget to click the SAVE button at the bottom of the page. The deadline to choose courses is next Friday, March 27. View our 2020-2021 Course Planning Guide HERE.

Don't hesitate to email Mrs. Holmes or Mrs. Segura with questions about courses to take. For issues with the portal itself, please email Mrs. Holmes at sholmes@slchs.org.

Big picture

Please continue to support local businesses, especially our Saints businesses! We've compiled a running list on our website for you to look at and consider during this pandemic. They have supported St. Louis Catholic; now it's time to show some love for them! Please click HERE to view the list of local Saints businesses (in no particular order), and/or add your business to the Google sheet if it's not listed.

Student News

Celebrate our Athletics!

Though no St. Louis Catholic athletic activities will occur for quite a while, several of our teams did close out this past weekend successfully.

  • Saints baseball bounced back Saturday and beat the Sapulpa (OK) Chieftains 4-3 in walk-off fashion!
  • Saints & Lady Saints track & field swept the Barbe Buc Relays. The boys beat Barbe 149-129, and the girls won over the Bucs, 165-124.
  • Saints softball beat LaGrange, 15-12, for their fourth win of the young season.
  • The Saints boys golf team also has four of the top seven in the SWLA prep standings right now - Ross Anderson (T3rd, 75.5), Brett Ardoin (5th, 76.25), Collin Darby (T6th, 77.5), and George Trappey (T6th, 77.5). Congratulations, Saints!
