What's going on?
This week we have celebrated the Mexican culture! We have helped make and try Mexican oatmeal; almost all of us thought it was pretty yummy. We had a silly time learning the Mexican hat dance while wearing our sombreros and played with some maracas! We have great rhythm! We also made Mexico's flag with edible paint;.sweet and condensed milk and food coloring. We used paper towel tubes to color the flag.We took some time during our circle times this week to learn a few words in Spanish. Some of the words we learned were " la silla" or "chair", " la Mesa" or "table", and "siesta" or "rest" (we need to work on that one! Haha!)
I have included a link to the Mexican hat dance to enjoy with your child at home!
Next week we will be doing "purple" week to show our school spirit; we will be doing a different thing each day for spirit week and is listed below!
Spirit week themes

Tuesday: crazy hair day
