Manners Banquet Information

Dear Parents,

Our Fifth Grade Manners Banquet will be on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Prior to the luncheon, your child will participate in a basic table etiquette lesson. The curriculum is designed to encourage the use of proper etiquette, promote confidence, and celebrate the transition from elementary to middle school. The Manners Banquet will give students an opportunity to practice what they have learned in a formal setting with classmates and representatives from our community. Girls are encouraged to wear dresses. A pair of dress slacks and blouse will be fine also. Boys are encouraged to wear a dress shirt, tie and trousers.

The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will last approximately one hour. In order for us to finish in the allotted time frame, we need your help. As a parent volunteer, you will be asked to serve food to the children and guests. Instructions will be provided. Please wear a white top and black pants/skirt with close-toed, non-skid shoes. If you are able to volunteer please sign up here… Volunteer form

Space and time are limited so you will not have an opportunity to eat with your child. You are asked to attend only as a food service volunteer.

Cell Phones

As a reminder cell phones are not allowed to be used during the day. Once a student walks through the doors the phones must be turned off and put in their backpacks until we walk out of the door for dismissal. Students using their cell phone during the day will have it taken up and place with the Assistant Principal or Principal for parents to come and pick up. This includes watches that have text and call ability. Thank you for your help.

Students are working to earn a spot as a Super Kids Day Helper! Each day students have an opportunity to earn 2 points (1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon) based on following classroom and school expectations.

Their goal is to earn a minimum of 8 out of 10 points each week AND a total of 80% of points by the end of the 3-week period, which is Tuesday, February 22nd-Friday, March 11th.

We will continue this tracking system after Spring Break with a different goal students are working towards. We'll keep you updated as that approaches.

Let's work together as a team and encourage our kiddos to be Panda Proud at school to earn a spot as a Super Kids Day Helper!

Thanks for your support!
