Harrison Happenings
March 2-6
This week in room 300...
Unfortunately, last week was another off week with all of the time we had off! I know you are all as glad as I am to have the kids back on a regular schedule. :) This week we may be repeating some activities that were on the schedule for last week due to the snow days and delays.
Math: We will creating and solving addition word problems/pictures.
Writing: This week we will be celebrating the birth of Dr. Seuss through writing pieces based on some of his books!
Guided reading: We have added some fun activities to our word work and writing stations that I know kids will enjoy!
Social Studies: We will be learning about American symbols such as the bald eagle, Statue of Liberty, white house, etc.
Our lightning words for this week are put & make.
Sports events
I know that many students are beginning their spring sports. If your child has a game, please let me know, and I will try to make it and cheer them on if I am available! :)
Reminders!
- Snack money is due since it is the beginning of March
- The end of the nine weeks will be coming to an end before we know it. Please practice those sight words nightly.
- Sign your child's homework and behavior chart every night. This helps us to know we are in constant contact with you during the week.
