Teachers:
I will send you a link for a very helpful writing tool, "The English Language Arts Literacy in Social Studies and Science..." This tool gives great samples of K-6 student writing for each genre . This will help guide your instruction and the end product. I believe we are all moving into Narrative this week. We covered narrative at the beginning of the year so be thinking how this instruction in February is different then how you taught narrative in September. Take time to truly understand the narrative writing standard for your grade level, the grade above and the grade below you. This will help gauge what your instruction should look like.Last week our 5th graders too the California Healthy Kids Survey. Now it is our turn. We need ALL staff to click the link below and take the survey. This data is important so we can align our work around climate and culture correctly.
