High School & Beyond
For 15 years Chaucer Drive Study Center has been running a week long summer program called High School and Beyond. This program takes place at Featherock Conference Center and is designed to help responsible students make the most of their high school years and maximize their college opportunities. It makes use of a well-crafted curriculum combining lectures, readings, discussions, strategy games, and team sports. The program challenges students to think critically and to establish goals and pursue them energetically.
High School & Beyond is the best way for a entering high school student to get acquainted with Chaucer Drive Study Center and it's staff. The relationships formed can lead to great mentoring opportunities that reinforce what is being taught at home. There is more information here on Chaucer's website.

The Grade
The Grade is Chaucer's signature program for high school students. It gives young men the practical, intellectual, and moral foundation to be a man of virtue. Through a combination of classes, one-on-one mentoring, and career presentations by successful professionals, it helps them develop the skills and attitude necessary to be effective in college and later on as a father, a professional, and a citizen. There are eight general grade sessions from August through May, accompanied by eight one-on-one mentoring sessions. Each participant in The Grade is assigned a mentor who guides him in applying the principles taught in class. The mentor is like a coach who challenges and encourages each student to reach his best. Specifically, he helps the student set goals that are important and practical. For more information about The Grade please visit Chaucer's website here.
