Harrison Happenings
March 9-13
This Week in Room 300...
Math: Students will be practicing writing numbers 0-20. This seems simple, but in order to get a 3 on their report card, they must write all of the numbers correctly without reversing any of them at all. When you are helping them with homework each night, make sure they have no numbers reversed.
Writing: Students will be practicing informational writing about national holidays.
Social Studies: Students will learn about national holidays such as Memorial Day, Veteran's Day, President's Day, etc.
Reading: We will be discussing text features in informational texts.
There are no new sight words this week, so it is very important that you use that extra time to practice all the sight words with your child. If your child had any words highlighted on their report card last nine weeks, they will be reassessed on those as well!

- We have sent home reminders to families that owe money for snack. Keep in mind that we use that money to buy snacks for the children to eat everyday and to buy some supplies for parties/fun activities. If we are not receiving that money, we cannot provide snack once it runs out. You do not have to pay it all at once, but please pay what you can at the moment.
- Students will be off on Friday, March 20th for a teacher work day.
- Sneakers need to be worn every Friday for PE
- Thursday, March 12 is Spearman's Variety Show at 7:00pm in the gym.
