Wish Week 2023 (New)
The students of Mountain Range High School are raising money to support Make-A-Wish Colorado and their mission to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Together, we can make more wishes come true! We will be hosting different fundraising events the week of February 6 - 10, 2023!
This year, we're raising money in honor of wish kid Arhyiah, a 6-year-old from Brighton, Colorado. His wish is to go to Disney World! We are so excited to honor and celebrate him this year!
A wish from Make-A-Wish is powerful! A large majority of Make-A-Wish alumni, parents and medical providers overwhelmingly agree the wish experience was a necessary part of the medical treatment journey. Wishes give the child a better chance of recovering from their critical illness by increasing their hope, strength, joy, confidence, self-esteem and quality of life. No matter the circumstances, every child deserves a childhood.
Life-changing wishes wouldn't happen without the power of donors like you. Your support gives children much-needed hope for brighter days ahead.
Please help by donating today. Together, we can deliver strength and hope to children when they need it most. And, please visit our MRHS Make-A-Wish website to learn about this program! Follow our calendar of events here. (Check back often as we add more information!)
Base Camp Fun! (Updated)
- Some students have expressed interest in becoming Base Camp leaders. This role is perfect for student input and voice and we welcome more students to join this group. Basecamp leaders will be chosen very soon.
- Mr. Wimmer and the Phoenix club spoke about the dangers of addiction and vaping to our Basecamp group. This was an exciting and powerful message to support those suffering from vaping addiction and to help prevent curious students from vaping in the future.
- Students have also participated in activities that discourage gossip and how to navigate situations that might arise when faced with gossip
- As an exciting incentive, Basecamp students will have the opportunity to win prizes during Basecamp for attending and participating in group activities. Let's get those smiling faces to Basecamp and win some cool stuff!
