Big picture

Dr. Rafferty - Armistice Day

This week we commemorated Armistice Day. Armistice Day is commemorated every year on November 11 and marks the signing of the armistice by all sides that brought an end to World War I in 1918. Incidentally at that time the world was also experiencing a pandemic flu. We want to honor and pay homage to all our veterans and military service personnel past and present who make such sacrifices individually and as well as their families so every citizen can enjoy the freedoms bestowed upon us in our great democracy. Take some to reflect and be grateful for those who serve our country.
