Kindergarten News ACES

Week Of October 21st

Welcome back!!!

Can you believe how hard we were hit with the storm? We hope you were able to stay safe during the power outage. Did you receive the ONE CALL to inform you that school was cancelled Thursday and Friday? If NOT, please let your child's classroom teacher know so that we can look into this for you. Because it was a short week, this week we will be continuing our units that we were working on last week

Our learning..

This week our class read stories and will be reading stories about how tools help us learn. Your child learned and will learn about different tools and what they are used for.

We learned and will continue practicing the vocabulary words: tools, discover, fetch, rumble, and defeated. Our sight word is "a" and we will focus on the letter Pp.

In Math, we worked on decomposing numbers with totals up to 10. We wrote numerals 1-10 in order. We learned how to write the numbers and use the numeral to represent a quantity. We also solved word problems by acting them out.

This week we will work on one less and have our unit assessment.
