Veterans Day Assembly November 11
Looking Forward to Veterans Day!
Just a reminder that we are looking forward to recognizing our veterans on Monday, November 11 as we recognize Veterans Day.
We are asking our students to wear red, white, and blue on Monday.
Our veterans and families that have ties to Mathews are welcome to begin signing-in at 7:30 and will be welcomed to wait in the gym before the program begins at 8:15.

Mathews’ Student Council Trex Recycling Challenge

Thanksgiving Food Drive
Kindness and Caring x 250!
It is also a wonderful time to teach children empathy and how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
Our can food drive will be the month of November. Coach B has some fun ideas of showing children how small acts of kindness can build something incredible when we work together!
Our goal is to donate 250 cans. This would be the equivalent of one can donation per family. We look forward to a drawing at the end of November to read to classes if we reach our school-wide goal. Just like our peanut butter campaign, this is not a competition between classes, but rather a celebration of our school community working and coming together to make a difference!
Thank you for participating has a family in this meaningful act of kindness. It is a wonderful opportunity for our students to 'be the difference in the world.'
The can food drive will begin November 1 through November 22.
