As the temperatures drop more students are being driven to school. We would like to remind families of a few items with arrival.

~School begins at 8:45, which means students must be in their classrooms at 8:45 to begin their day.

~When pulling into the parking lot please pull your car forward

~Students need to be ready to exit the car once you pull into the parking lot

~Parents cannot park in the parking lot in the morning

Staff Conference Dinner

The PTA will be hosting a dinner for the staff during conferences on Monday, November 22. The PTA will provide the main dish. If you are interested in helping by supplying a side dish or with cleanup, please visit: https://signup.com/go/CpPmpLH

If your child's conference is virtual the district has provided directions if this is your first virtual conference.

Recently, we've had students that have needed an additional mask. Please send your child with an additional mask in their backpack in case they may need one after lunch or recess.

We will be celebrating our Veterans through a flag raising ceremony on the 11th at 9:30. Unfortunately, we cannot have parents attend but will be livestreaming the ceremony. You can access the link here.

Families can also send in photographs of Veterans or currently serving family members to place on our Wall of Honor!

Teaching and Learning

Privacy and student data protection is a key priority for the District. Our three main technology departments (instructional technology, technology, and data services) work to make sure our systems and vendors comply with the requirements of the Student Online Personal Protection Act or SOPPA, which regulates how student information is protected by school districts and education technology vendors they use. Our student privacy web page outlines our privacy related actions and protective measures.

We also employ a number of measures like on-site filtering, student device monitoring, and security tools which protect our network from outside threats. Students participate in digital citizenship curriculum, and staff can employ tools to support students in making good digital choices. Lastly, our district participates in several state and national consortiums, collaborating with other districts to keep informed on best practices and new resources that may support our data privacy policies.
