Grant Gators

Principals Corner

Hello Grant Families,

For this upcoming fall, if you are moving or attending a different school not located in Livonia Public Schools, please email our school secretaries at Grant Elementary so we can make sure your child's educational files are prepared for your child's next school and we can accurately account for this in our projected enrollment and staffing plans. Their email addresses are akosinsk@livoniapublicschools.org and vwenson@livoniapublicschools.org.

Thank you, Mrs. McDougall and Mrs. Stark for putting on a wonderful "Night at the Art Museum" at Grant Elementary last night. We had a great turnout and we saw a bunch of excited kids and families. Check out some pictures that Mrs. McDougall took in case you were unable to attend. Hopefully, everyone is enjoying all the beautification you are noticing around our building too.

We'd love to give a "Shout Out" to Girl Scout Troop #77108 for donating their handiwork to craft some decorations for the indoor window sills, clean up the outdoor landscaping area, and also donated a $250.00 Menards Gift Card from their cookie sales for new plants.

The district's Covid-19 protocols have been updated throughout this springtime downturn in local case counts and can be found on the district's website under the "Covid Corner" section. Also, you can find daily case counts by the school, by clicking on the blue graphic in that section. If our protocols change in the future, you can always locate the latest information in that section of the website. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Sherri Mazzoni

Grant Elementary, Randolph Elementary, and Webster Elementary Field Trip/Play Date Pictures from Today, Friday, May 13, 2022

Today we had our Young Athletes Program Field Trip at Grant Elementary. The 3 Physical Education teachers from these schools, Ms. Mulkiten, Ms. Plum, and Ms. Giorgino are all part of this program and teamed together to create a fun experience for these students. The students were placed in groups and participated in balloon volleyball, hola hoops, sidewalk chalk, and climbed our rock wall. They all had a blast and we loved watching them have fun with each other. Thank you, Randolph and Webster, for joining us today! Here a few pictures.

Just in time for Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week 2022, the LPS Education Foundation is pleased to offer a new recognition program called Star Awards!

Are you looking for a unique way to thank a Livonia Public Schools staff member? A Star Award honors any LPS employee who has made a difference in a student’s, family’s, or fellow staffer’s life. For a $25 donation to the Foundation, a personalized, color certificate will be presented to your honoree, and they will receive recognition on the Foundation's website and social media platforms as well as the district's social media platforms. The certificate will be personalized with your praise to show this LPS employee how much they mean to you!

Please click on the link below to send a Star Award to an awesome LPS staff member!
