Thank You!

Thank you to all of our families and friends who attended the Surfside Spirit Night at Doubles Beachside on March 5, 2021. We had a great turnout! We appreciate your continued support of our amazing school.

We appreciate all of the families that completed the Parent Survey. We drew names from the forms that were returned and the winners were; Addie Brewer, Alisa Doce, and Parker Overturf.

Thank you also to everyone how supported our 2021 Color Run! The kids had an amazing time. We cannot wait to have visitors on campus again, so we can include families in this event.

We encourage students to continue reading over the Spring Break. Below is a Reading Bingo sheet. Please have students complete as many lines of this Bingo card as they can over break. If they complete at least two lines, they can return them to the front office. We will be doing a drawing for prizes using the returned sheets. All sheet should have a parent signature, student name and homeroom teacher written on the top.

Safety Reminders

Cassia Blvd. is quite congested in the afternoons. Please remember that we have families crossing this street to meet children who walk home from school. Please adhere to all traffic laws and help us keep all Panthers safe.

Thank you!

Dress Code Reminders

As the weather is warming up, we're noticing many of our children wearing very short shorts and crop style tops. Just a reminder, no part of the belly should be seen when students raise their hands over their head. Students will have to call home if they violate dress code.

Below is the exact language from the Brevard Public Schools Code of Student Conduct regarding dress code.

Upper Garments

Upper garments must adequately cover the waistline and must not expose the midriff while the student is performing normal school-related activities(studying, retrieving books, raising hands, etc.).

Lower Garments

Shorts must have clearly discernable inseams of reasonable length and cover the buttocks. Short shorts are prohibited.

Garments must be of a length and fit that are suitable to the build and stature of the student.

Footwear

Students in K-6 must wear shoes that are safe and appropriate for recess and physical education.

Arriving to School & Breakfast reminders

Students needing to eat breakfast may arrive between 7:45 and 8 am and receive a free breakfast. However, if students are not eating breakfast, they should arrive at 8 am when the classroom doors open to have time to get unpacked and begin their day. We're also having some students arrive very close to 8:15 and still want breakfast, but it does not allow for ample time to eat before instruction begins. Thank you for your assistance and support in the mornings to our arrival procedures.
