Evacuation Drills on Monday afternoon. We will sound the alarm so students can hear what it sounds like. Then we will release small groups at a time to go to their evacuation locations. Maps coming from officer Rizzi soon.
All of you have received a team email from me regarding Tier 2 push in services. Please look at the time slots avaialble and send me your preferences so I can build this schedule.
Next week is our IA coverage to support you with guided reading running records. It is important that we meet the September 11th (1-3) September ___ (K) due date.
Any staff member entering a classroom must fill out the support staff sign in sheets in every classroom. Please work together as classroom teachers and support staff to ensure this is done daily with fidelity.
Textbook Update: We are expecting additional copies of textbooks and will distribute as soon as we receive them. Thank you for being patient!!
Are you done with your Safe Schools Videos? If not, please get those done quickly. The deadline is the end of the month.

BOY assessments are well underway. Let me know if you have any questions or need my assistance. IA support will be provided next week to make sure you are supported while administering running records.
Make sure to look at the updated CFA calendar that is located in your grade level's CFA dashboard. Don't forget to go through your cycle docs, paying close attention to the learning progressions and resources offered. Many cycle docs have added resources and learning progressions since last school year.
Extensions will start the week of the 24th. Brook and I are meeting with each grade level during your prep on the 19th to give you the Tier 2 and Tier 3 IA schedule and to firm up exactly what your extensions will look like. K and 1st, please have your OG groups made by then so you can share those with us.
As we have talked about, the Digital Scholastic site is not ready for teachers to use yet. I will let you know as soon as we can start entering data. Haley is working diligently to get us access as soon as possible.
I will collect reading logs every 4 weeks. Please remind students regularly to be working at home to get those minutes met. The Million Minute challenge bulletin board will now be located in the cafeteria to provide equal access to all grade levels. As soon as that is finished, I will be talking to kiddos about our reading log incentives.
As always, let me know of any questions or concerns you have. I will try to attend all grade level meetings, when possible, and will be getting with each of you in the near future to see what resources or support you need from me to begin your guided reading tables.
Congrats on an amazing first full week of school, and have a relaxing weekend!

What is a Wish Well board and how can I use it?
The Wish Well Board provides a visual way to aid children in wishing each other well, a calming ritual that involves offering love and caring to others. Prepare the board by attaching a photo of each student to a magnet and placing the magnets on the edge of the board. When a child is absent, moving to another school, has arrived late or is in need of support for other reasons, place the child’s picture in the heart at the center of the board. Invite the class to wish the child well.
PPE
Masks or face shields are required for our staff to wear each day. If you do not have one, please see me so I can provide one for you. Face shields are also provided for each teacher. This will be handy to have at our Guided Reading tables. Window partitions have also been provided.
Staff must be wearing face masks or shields at all times inside the building, unless there are no students in your room.
