Schreiber Guidance Department Newsletter March 2022
A note from the Director's Desk
Acts of kindness, acts of generosity, is how simple it is to make people feel good. - Simon Sinek
Hello Schreiber families!
We typically attribute the month of February to kindness, but kindness knows no season. I hope you'll take a minute to watch Simon Sinek's video at the end of this newsletter, "The Power of Kindness." Now more than ever, it is essential that we treat each other with kindness and respect. Sharing kindness takes just a few moments and can leave a lasting impact.
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics recognizes March as National Nutrition Month. Nutrition plays a huge role in our personal self-care plans. Proper nutrition is at the center of the relationship between one's mind and body. This year's theme is "Celebrate a World of Flavors." You can learn more about National Nutrition Month by clicking the hyperlinks incuded in this paragraph. Students, be sure to check out the Guidance bulletin board this month for smart nutrition tips. Also, look for a link in this newsletter to MyPlate from the United States Department of Agriculture. Looking for healthy options to support your busy lifestyle? Check out their resources and suggestions to support people at all ages and stages.
Here in the Guidance suite, your school counselors are busy assisting students with academic planning and scheduling for next year. Seniors are also getting support with finalizing their college selections and financial aid questions. It may seem far off, but I can tell you that the end of the school year is not far away!
Have a safe March, and a happy start to the spring season!
