Linden Leopard Growl
November 20, 2015
Message from Mrs. Klimpl
We are looking forward to seeing you next week for parent/student/teacher conferences. Feel free to print a hard copy of the reporting document to bring to the conference for easy reference.
Please help us pass the “word’ that Central Registration is now open for next year’s Kindergarten enrollment…. Classes and rosters will be formed before you know it in the spring, and we would love to have as many of our prospective learners enrolled as early as possible to judge our class sizes! Thanks for your help with getting this message out to all in our community.
Blessings to you all for a wonderful holiday break!
The revised 2015-2016 LINDEN FAMILY DIRECTORY was emailed to families Tuesday, November 17th.
If you did not receive it, please e-mail email@example.com.
Just a reminder that the purpose of the Directory is for families to be able to
contact each other for social purposes, classroom parties, etc. It is not to be
used for solicitation of any kind.
Thank you to Diana Doherty, Jen Happel, Ellen Devlin, Amanda Rennie, Brenda Stellato and Mette O’Reilly for their hard work on this project!
It’s that time of year again….
Parent(s) please stop by our Giving Tree and pick a mitten or snowflake to purchase a gift card for a family in need. Please use the SIGN UP BOOK and place your name next to the corresponding number and return to the Guidance Office by Dec 14th!
Congratulations to Beck Walton! - District Boomerang Winner - Restraint
Here is Beck's nomination:
Beck Walton is an excellent example of a young person who consistently demonstrates restraint in the classroom. I can always count on Beck to be doing the right thing at the right time. Even during transition times during the day, he controls his behavior and consistently makes good choices. When he is finished eating his snack, he cleans up his area and chooses a quiet activity that he can do at his seat. When friends try to talk to him during lessons or independent work times, Beck politely shows them the quiet sign and gets right back to the lesson or his work. That being said, Beck knows when it’s ok and healthy to run around and let loose. He has a blast out at recess and can be seen running the entire time with his group of friends. However, as soon as the whistle is blown, Beck gets right into line and shows restraint in being quiet while walking into the school. When we have our movement breaks, Beck gets right up and becomes an impressive dance machine. When the song is over, Beck gets right back to business. It’s notable that a first grader can show such self-control and regulate his behavior according to the situation. He should be commended for his consistent good choices both in and out of the classroom.
