Spring is almost here! Did you know May is Michigan Moves Month? Read how you can be involved with this initiative. Did you know there are TWO in-person workshops coming up? Join us in April at Central Michigan University and LIVE in the UP! The first-ever SHAPE MI regional conference will be held at Northern Michigan University. Additionally, don't forget to join your colleagues in our monthly networking session. The next TWO sessions are focused on Advocacy training. Join your colleagues from the comfort of your house.

Michigan Moves Month
Michigan Moves Month will take place in May of 2023. Become a Michigan Moves Ambassador and take an active role in promoting physical activity across the state of Michigan this May! There are many ways to be involved:
- Use the social media kit to post Michigan Moves Month promotional materials
- Contribute a video to the Movement Video of the Day series
- Attend the Day at the Capitol event on 5/17 and bring awareness to legislatures about the benefits of physical activity by working out with local athletes on the Capitol lawn
- Advocate by reaching out to your local legislatures to promote Michigan Moves Month and related legislation. Advocacy training and templates for reaching out will be provided
National PE Standards Revision
Now Open: Public Review and Comment (Round 2) for National PE Standards Revision
Public Review and Comment (Round 2) Open February 20 through April 3 School districts across the country rely on SHAPE America's National Standards and Grade-Level Outcomes for K-12 Physical Education in order to develop their own standards, frameworks and curricula.
