Option to Provide Input for Class Placement
Cheney elementary schools would like to extend you the opportunity to provide input regarding your child’s class placement for the 2022-2023 school year. Long and thoughtful consideration by our teachers is given to student groupings in each class. During the process we strive to create well-balanced instructional groups based on academic achievement, boy/girl ratios, learning and teaching styles, social-emotional/behavior needs, and participation in special programs. We strive to ensure that all Cheney elementary classrooms will provide for the social, emotional, and academic needs of our students. Please consider providing us with input about your child’s unique needs so we can include your thinking as we determine class lists for the next school year. Please be advised that we cannot accept requests for specific teachers or peer groupings.
If you would like to provide input, please stop by your school’s office to obtain a questionnaire, respond to all questions, and return the form to the office no later than Friday, April 29, 2022. Please use a separate form for each child and please complete each area on the form. Your comments will be considered in the placement process. We appreciate your participation and support in this endeavor. *** Final elementary school class placements will be shared in letters mailed by Friday, August 26, 2022.
