Palmetto Boys State Applications Due Tomorrow
Any Junior interested in participating in the Palmetto Boys State Program this summer should click here to complete the application. This program is designed to take young men who have demonstrated leadership in their own communities and train them in practical, democratic principles of government. See photo of current seniors who attended and represented Flora last summer. These students were elected to the following offices:

Parent Conferences - Monday, March 20
Parent conferences will be virtual and on
Monday, March 20 from 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm. Please book a 15-minute time slot
here. Parents can choose between a Teams Video call or a phone call.
2023 Dance Showcase
The AC Flora Dance Department presents the 2023 IB/Honors Dance Showcase TONIGHT! at 7pm in the Flora Theater. General Admission is $5 and tickets can be purchased here. We hope to see you there!
Super Saturday- Athletics BBQ Fundraiser
This year’s event will be on Saturday, March 25. BBQ plates will be available at the main office entrance from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 each which you can purchase from any spring sports athlete. Tickets are available through tomorrow, March 17. Walk- up plates are available on a first-come-first-serve basis (rain or shine).
BBQ tickets include admission to all home games at AC Flora that day – Baseball, Boys & Girls Lacrosse, Boys & Girls Soccer, and Softball. Games begin at 11am and the final game starts at 4:30pm. Please click here for more information.
Dual-Enrollment Interest Meeting- March 29, 2023
AC Flora High School is happy to partner with Midlands Technical College to offer dual-enrollment courses for the 2023-2024 school year. To explain more about the program and the application process, a Midlands Technical College representative will be at AC Flora on Wednesday, March 29, at 6pm in the library. All students and parents interested in learning more about, or signing up for the program, are encouraged to attend this IN-PERSON event.

Power Forward High School Program Interest Meeting
Students interested in pursuing a career in business are invited to the Power Forward Program interested meeting, hosted by Dominion Energy and USC’s Darla Moore School of Business. The event will be held on Wednesday, March 29, at the Heyward Career Center from 6-7 pm. Please use the information on the flyer to register for the event.
Boca Grande Spirit Night
Plan to stop by Boca Grande (4525 Forest Drive) on
Tuesday, March 28, from
4-8 p.m. Mention AC Flora for dine-in or
take-out orders. A percentage of sales will be donated to AC Flora.

Guidance Updates
SC College and Career Decision Day:
The SC Commission of Higher Education would like celebrate Seniors throughout the state at the SC College and Career Decision Day on
Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 10am to 12pm at the Statehouse grounds. Students will be transported to the event via school bus, so space is limited. Any Senior interested in attending needs to click
here and complete the electronic form by
April 21, 2023. If you have additional questions, please see Ms. Broadnax.
Senior Scholarship Tally and Post High School Information:
Each year AC Flora High School requests that Seniors share your college scholarship information with us for data collection and reporting purposes--and to celebrate YOU! We are asking that you use this form. We understand that you may not have heard back from all of your schools yet, but you can fill this form out as many times as you need.
Additionally, please let us know your post high school plans. Complete this form to let us know.
Do you need help completing the FAFSA?
The South Carolina Commission on Higher Education is hosting a FAFSA Completion event at the Richland Library (located at 1431 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC 29201) on Saturday, April 8, from 1-5pm!
