Dear Robert Hunter families,

Students did a great job this week transitioning to mask-optional school days. Everyone has been respectful of each other’s choices. Thank you for reinforcing this message with your children.

This past week was School Social Worker Appreciation Week - we would like to share our gratitude to Ms. Melissa Rogers, our RH school social worker, for everything she does to support students, staff, and families!

We are so excited to be able to offer our PTO sponsored enrichment camp again this summer! Our wonderful RH teachers are planning for a great summer of fun activities and hope to see many RH students there- see more details below!

We can’t believe that the second trimester already ends on Friday. Report cards will be released on March 25th.

Enjoy the weekend!

Warm regards,

Mrs. Glaab and Mrs. Braynor

From the Health Office

Hi parents! As you know our region in NJ still lies in the yellow risk level. This is not bad at all considering how high our COVID rates were just a few months ago. With this being said, if your kids are experiencing one symptoms from column A or two symptoms from column B, you’ll have three options to choose from in order to have your child return to school:

1) You can submit a negative COVID test to me either via fax or through e-mail. If your child is experiencing symptoms it may be a rapid test or a PCR test. At home tests are not accepted. In this case, the child may return when feeling better and fever free (without fever reducing medication)

2) You may submit a physician’s note indicating the diagnosis and return to school date

3) You may decide to keep your child home for 5 full days without testing or a physician’s visit as long as symptoms have improved and your child is without fever for over 24 hours (medication free). For instance, if the first day of your child’s symptoms is a Tuesday, he/she may return on the following Monday.

In the event the regional risk level changes to green, the return to school guidelines will change as well.

Column A

  • Shortness of breath
  • Loss of taste
  • Loss of smell
  • Difficulty breathing

Column B:

  • Fever over 100.4
  • Congestion
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Unusual fatigue
  • Body aches
  • Chills
  • Sore throat
  • Headache

Classroom Happenings:

A highlight for RH students this week was “safety town” in PE class - we loved seeing students zipping around the gym throughout “safety-town” on their scooters! It is so wonderful to see our students having these great experiences with their friends and teachers!
