Additional Information

No Halloween Party

We are NOT having a Halloween party this year but will have a Christmas party as well as a Valentine's party! Our staff votes each year for the parties we will have, and it was determined that there is a lot going on around Halloween (Trunk or Treat, Red Ribbon Week, and Book Fair), so we are forgoing this party. Good news! The students STILL get to wear costumes to school on Tuesday, October 23 but may NOT wear masks, face or hair paint, or scary costumes.

Shy by Deborah Freedman is our October book for the month. Shy is a giraffe who displays the characteristics of courage, confidence, action, and friendship in this book as she decides to be brave, explore the unknown, and befriend a bird. You can listen to the book in the link below.
Read Aloud! Shy by Deborah Freedman

Volunteer Background Checks

Good news! The Volunteer Background Check is now online! You can fill it out here. If you turned in a paper form this school year, you do not need to complete another one.

Want to know more about what your child is learning at school?

The TEKS Resource System is the curriculum guide that we use to plan lessons and activities for our learners. You may access this system as a guest. This guide provides the following documents: Vertical Alignment, TEKS Clarification, Enhanced TEKS Clarification (Math), Year at a Glance, TEKS Verification, and the Instructional Focus Document. Remember, we are on a nine weeks schedule, so be sure to choose 9 weeks when given the option. You can view all state standards for your child's grade level under the Standards tab.

If you have questions, please contact your child's teacher.
