Session Description

In 2021, all LEAs will be required to complete a district level Self-Assessment of their special education program requiring the input of a district leadership team. This team should represent several points of view and areas of expertise in order to provide a comprehensive look at the administration and implementation of the special education program.

The participants in this training will engage in a deeper look into the LEA Self-Assessment, explore sources of evidence, guiding questions, compliance/strategy items, and quality levels and be able to complete the Self-Assessment and support ongoing LEA improvement efforts.

This FREE 2-hour virtual session is designed to familiarize the district and charter teams with all aspects of the self-assessment process.

Teams may include: special education directors, central office staff, assessment personnel, campus administrators, special education teachers, general education teachers, related services personnel, and parents.
