Titan Weekly
January 16, 2022
Hello Titan Families and Happy New Year,
I hope everyone is enjoying a long, peaceful weekend in honor of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Last Monday our fabulous drama teacher Ms. Galvin announced our first ever spring musical. Scroll down for more information on auditions and opportunities for backstage work. We are so excited to see our Titans shine both behind and on the stage - even with masks!
Thank you for your patience as we navigated the past week. The first week back from Winter Break and the start of the second semester is always a busy one but the current COVID surge made it even more so. All families will receive a reminder regarding the home COVID tests we sent home last Friday. Please take the time to test your Titan before they return to school on Tuesday. Look for that email reminder on Monday.
The safety of our staff and students is our first priority. We continue to enforce our safety protocols both inside and outside of the classroom. Please remind your Titan that their choices matter - proper mask wearing is the most critical part of keeping our students and staff safe. If your child is feeling ill or exhibiting common symptoms of COVID-19 please keep them home and call our office.
It's still a great day to be a Titan. We are so glad you are here!
Ms. De Ladurantey

Congrats to these Toll KFLAG Students!
A few of our FLAG Korean students participated in the 2021 Student Video Contest "My K-Culture" organized by the Korean Education Center in LA . We are happy to announce that the following students represented Toll and won 2nd place. Hahnbin Kim and Aaron Kim work together to create a tutorial video on how to make a Dalgona (sugar candy). Kate Kim also received 2nd place. Her video introduces Korean traditional Hanbok and accessories (traditional to modern design).
All our participants did an amazing job sharing fun ways they celebrate their K-Culture. Congratulations!

Toll Foundation Annual Fund Update
Toll Foundation has pushed the deadline for their Annual Fund Campaign to February 11th.
So a donation made in your student's name can still qualify them to enter our opportunity drawing, with prizes like movie tickets, season passes to Magic Mountain, or gift cards. Your student could also receive some free perks, like a Toll vinyl sticker for their phone or computer, or a special Toll t-shirt, depending on the donation amount.
Our core competition is still going on as well! The core with the highest participation in our Fund Campaign will win an ice cream, popcorn, or cotton candy for each student. A donation of any amount will count, so spread the word!
