A Message from Mrs. Kendall, Title1/EL Teacher
Dear Families,
I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful winter break! Friendly reminder that your child will be bringing home the winter break reading challenge on Friday December 21st. Participation is optional but I would love for all of our Maple students to participate! If your child decides to participate, have them return the completed challenge to their teacher on January 8th. Happy Reading!
Sincerely,
Yael Kendall

Student Council
Student Council collected and counted 700 used markers to ship for recycling with the Crayola Color Cycle Marker Recycling Program. We will continue collecting in our classrooms next semester. Keep up the good work!
The winning yearbook cover is "All in a Year"!
Each classroom voted between four options.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. If my student missed picture day or is new will their photo be in the yearbook with the class? Yes, I will take any new students picture and get them added in the yearbook. The cutoff date is February 22nd.
2. Why does Maple’s yearbook cost $18.00? Maple is such a small school that we don’t have the sales volume for bigger discounts. For other schools the more they sell they get a better deal. Plus this year we added more pages 32 to 36.
3. Is there a place that a parent could upload a great photo from a school event that could be used in the yearbook? Yes, go to community.lifetouch.com. You will need the code: RHBTLY (Uploaded images will be considered for the yearbook. Please submit photos that are at least 300 dpi to ensure acceptable print quality for the yearbook. Note: Photos from social media websites may not be acceptable quality. Please consider this when uploading images.)
I am excited for this year’s memories. Let me know if you have any other questions. I am always happy to answer. Contact me by phone 317-544-6400 or email cgmason@avon-schools.org
Thanks,
Crystal Mason
