Principal's Message
As we head into Spring Break I'd like to give a shout-out to our PTO! They have been tirelessly working to provide on behalf of our students' families. They have hosted a couple of virtual events, a virtual bookfair (with another yet to come), and recognized and supported our staff. Right after the break, we are excited to kick off our PTO Boosterton Fun Run. The fun run combines fundraising and character education while creating a great sense of community in our school. This year the program will be virtual, and we will be doing a dance-a-thon rather than a run. Boys and girls will receive pledges for dancing and our overall goal is to raise $15,000 to be used for a music garden on our playground. A music garden consists of different outdoor musical instruments (drums, chimes, xylophone, etc) grouped together that will allow for creative and sensory play.
We know how fortunate we are to have such a beautiful school and we are so thankful. That is why our PTO has committed to adding a give-back component to this year's fun run. We will donate 10% of everything beyond the $15,000 goal to the Friends of Imagination Station. We want to model for the boys and girls that giving back to your community is important, especially when they have given us so much. The Friends of Imagination Station are working with other community partners to add a "storybook" walk to Imagination Station and our gift will help make that project a reality. I think it is great that our students and families will model giving back and be able to benefit from this generosity. Paws Up!
Finally, I hope you are able to do something over break that makes you and your family happy. It has been a challenging 12 months. Thank you for your continued support, it is appreciated more than you know!
Paws Up,
Mr. Schreiber
