Thursday May 28th- LAST DAY OF SCHOOL- "HONK OUT" - 10am
See below for details
Everyone, Please Join Us As We "HONK OUT" Our 4th Graders!
Buckalew is excited to end our 19-20 School Year with a "HONK OUT"! Traditionally, Buckalew has always "clapped-out" our 4th graders as they leave Buckalew to attend intermediate school. Since we are unable to do that this year, we still want to end the year on a great school-wide event that includes ALL Buckalew Families.
A 4th grade specific email went out with details on the parade route. If you are a 4th grade parent, please refer to that email. If you are a k-3 parent, we invite you to park along Alden Bridge (see attached map), stay in your car, and "HONK OUT" our 4th graders as they drive through our route along Alden Bridge. YOU MUST ALL STAY INSIDE YOUR CARS, but feel free to decorate your cars.
When: Thursday May 28th
Were: Alden Bridge (see map)
Time: Please line up cars by 9:45 AND STAY INSIDE YOUR CAR!!!
Parade Route Map HERE: Honk Out Parade Route Public.png
Feel Free to wear any Buckalew Spiritwear!
In order for the safety of you, our students, our staff, our community, we ask that you stay in your car, open your sunroofs, your windows, and HONK YOUR HORN as the 4th graders go by!
The Buckalew Teachers will follow up the parade route in their cars at the end of the parade honking to you all!

Gifted and Talented Testing Results
Score results for students who participated in GT testing in January will be placed in your child’s brown bag that will be ready for pick up on May 26. Score results will be in a large sealed white envelope labeled with your child’s name. You may email Mrs. Smith if you have questions about your child’s results. tonsmith@conroeisd.net
Library Books
All library books are due! There will be wagons outside by the black file cabinets on Tuesday so when you pick up your packet you can drop off your library books. Last week and this week teachers have been going through their room, cleaning out student desks and returning any library books they find. This week I have been checking the shelves for any books that are still "checked out" just in case it is on the shelf.
Next week once all the teachers have checked their rooms and I have checked the library, I will send out notices via e-mail if you have any library books due to Buckalew.
If you can't find your library book and need to know the cost to replace or need to drop off your library books on another day besides Tuesday, please e-mail me jgwest@conroeisd.net
