Effective School Leaders are Critical

Now more than ever, effective school leaders are critical to successful student outcomes. As the state of Texas moves towards the implementation of a new Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS), administrators will need training that will provide support in the implementation of impactful strategies designed to improve instruction and student performance at the campus and district level.

Effective administrators must be knowledgeable in:

  • curriculum and instruction
  • data gathering and analysis
  • goal setting
  • effective conferencing
  • team-building
  • conflict resolution
  • mentoring and coaching

Principal Leadership Series at Region 16

In order to meet these expectations, Region 16 is offering the Principal Leadership Series utilizing the AEL (Advancing Educational Leadership) framework designed by the Texas Education Agency. Participants will learn in a cohort of school administrators over the 2015-2016 school year and have the opportunity for in-depth study and collaboration with their colleagues and peers.
