National Career and Technical Education Month
February is National Career and Technical Education Month. We are holding our fair for freshmen in Preparing for College and Careers classes in February and I will be presenting at Block about our opportunities. We currently have 10 CTE Pathways students can participate in:
- Digital Design
- Radio and TV Broadcasting
- Education Careers
- Culinary Arts
- Criminal Justice
- Fire and Rescue
- Computer Science
- Engineering (PLTW)
CTE is a great way to help students learn soft skills and technical skills to help prepare them for a career.

ISTEP + Assessment for Seniors
On February 16, the company Memory Makers of Whiting, Indiana will be here at 6:30 a.m. to set up with three photographer stations.
- Teachers & Staff should take their pictures first, it is a late start Wednesday, so there will be time.
- Grades 9-11 will need to be escorted by their English teacher to the auditorium.
- A schedule of times for teachers to report with their English classes is attached. I will also print out a copy and place it in mailboxes.
- Students will be out of uniform for that one day.
Seniors taking pictures on 2/17
- Seniors will need to set up appointment times with Ms. Cousins, she is located in room A150 with Mrs. Vasquez.
- Ms. Cousins and I are creating passes for the seniors to come down to the auditorium at their scheduled time.

Communities In Schools
Communities In Schools is still excepting registrations for 8th-hour classes NOW through 2/21/22. If parents/students are interested in obtaining an elective credit for the 2nd semester, boosting their GPA, preparing for ISTEP/SAT test, SEL, adult roles, online tutoring, mentoring, parent workshops, and more please contact Mrs. Dawkins @ email@example.com.

Class of 2025
Just a reminder that the Class of 2025 is currently selling bagged snacked items. All items are selling for $9.00/ each. There are no taxes or shipping and handling being charged for your items ordered through one of us or our convenient online store. The link to follow is located under the current fundraiser below. In addition, as a reminder that all students are working towards a selling goal. Please give credit to one of the sellers below of your choice upon checkout online or written on your paper order forms, please, and thank you! All items will be shipped to our school and will be delivered to you two weeks after the fundraiser ends on Feb. 11th.

Price Ranges: 1.50 through $6.00
First come first serve no items can be preordered!
Items will be delivered on Feb. 14th during the 7th hour.
Anyone purchasing a valentine gram must know what the person's 7th-hour teacher is to be delivered
Cash must be rendered at the time of purchase!
You may also remain anonymous if it is a surprise!!!!!!
