Notice to RBMC Membership:
In an effort to be as transparent as possible with the membership, yet keep within the boundaries of employment law, the General Manager and RBMC Board of Directors would like to notify the membership that, effective today, there has been a change in our security team . It is the responsibility of the General Manager and Board of Directors to maintain a safe and secure environment for all employees and members. Realize that the General Manager and Board of Directors cannot discuss specifics regarding employee issues, therefore, details cannot be provided.
It is of the utmost importance that RBMC is protected legally and unfortunately, sometimes this requires decisions that can be seen as unpopular by members. Please understand that the General Manager and RBMC Board of Directors have the corporation’s best interests in mind when any decisions are made, especially those regarding employment.
Please be advised that we are aware that there will be much social media speculation regarding this change. Our hope is that the membership will realize that, with the legal issues involved in any decisions involving employment, no speculation on social media can be responded to by the General Manager or Board of Directors, therefore, keep that in mind when reading any posts/comments on any social media page that relates to RBMC. There are always two sides to every story, with the official details having to be kept in the corporate records and not divulged. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

In order to ensure pump outs go smoothly,
Please ensure you are treating your tanks regularly and using toilet paper designed for RVs. This will help prevent clogs and other issues.
Please make sure that vehicles, trailers, etc. are not restricting the access for the pump truck to your pump out connection point. The hose on the trucks can only reach so far.
If a driver feels that the truck will not fit safely, they've been instructed not to put themselves or the truck in an unsafe situation.
If you have concerns or issues, please reach out to the maintenance staff so that we can discuss it with you. Our drivers want to do the best job for the members, but they must be safe while doing it.
Thanks! Amy Kenney Maintenance Manager

GENERAL MANAGER'S REPORT:
As summer comes to an end I want to thank everyone that has been kind and helped the summer be a smooth one. I also want to make sure I address the pool closure during the week at the end of the season with all of you. According to the American Lifeguard Association more than half of the nations 309,000 public pools will be forced to close early or limit their hours due to a national lifeguard shortage this year. Luckily at River Bend we have been able to keep the pool open almost the entire season until guards had to return to school and after school activities. We have also had employment listings all summer for extra lifeguards along with communicating with other pools in the area to see if they had lifeguards that needed extra hours. The most common response from those pools is that they are also looking for lifeguards. I appreciate your understanding as we navigate the lifeguard shortage and do our best to have the pool operate at a safe level. Unfortunately if we cannot operate within guidelines and ensure a safe experience for you and your children we have to close. I know this is inconvenient and not what anyone wants however I will not take the safety of membership for granted and will always work to ensure a safe and fun experience here at River Bend. Please have an amazing Labor Day weekend and enjoy the Car Show and all the activities planned for you. As always if you have any questions or concerns please bring them to me. Michael Flores RBMC General Manager
First Responder Network
If you are a first responder, retired first responder, or trained in first aid and CPR,
Due to the recent health, safety, and emergency events in the park, there has been an interest from some members on what more can be done by volunteers to help when emergencies arise. If you are a first responder, retired first responder, or trained in first aid and CPR, and are interested in discussing a contact list or creating a first responder network for the park, please contact the office and give your name and contact information so the Board and GM can speak with you.
