Author Visit

We have several visiting authors coming to GHE in November! Polly Holyoke will be presenting to our 3rd - 5th graders. Pre-order forms for their books came home this week and will be due back mid-October. Books that were pre-ordered will be autographed by our visiting authors.

Report Cards

On Wednesday, October 19, your child's report card will be ready to view. These will be available in the same folder you accessed through your child's Google Drive when viewing the Progress Report.

As a reminder, the folder you will need to open to access them is called "Last Name, First Name 2016-17 Standards Based Report Card." The progress your child has made this year will be recorded on the report card document as well as on the ASPIRE Supplemental Report Card.

We have had problems with trading cards, especially Pokemon cards, in the morning before students come to class as well as after school waiting for cars. To prevent these problems, Pokemon cards are not allowed at school. Please help us to make sure your child does not have any Pokemon cards in his/her backpack (even if they promise not to take them out).

Class Dojo: Growth Mindset Episode 5

This episode discusses how your brain is a muscle!

Take a look at the article below. It highlights how GCISD hired an energy consulting firm to help us with our energy savings and in 18 months we saved $618,000!
