Book Study - "How We Learn"
1 or 3 grad credit options with Instructor Joe Schingen
Looking for a meaningful PD that earns you lane change credits?
This is my 10th book study course! I offer one every January - March, and teachers come away feeling like they have ideas, tools and strategies that they can immediately bring back into their classrooms. This year our book, "How We Learn" by Benedict Carey, focuses on how our brains learn and retain information. This is immediately relevant for how teachers can offer up content more intentionally and effectively. What Carey says about our brains will change your view on education!!
Go to dinner, Stay for the conversation...
We will meet 4 times and discuss segments of the book. We will always meet at a restaurant and have dinner together, then chat about how the ideas in the book can be applied to our practice.
