PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Evacuation Watch Update
Dear St. Joseph Students & Families,
I wanted to provide an evacuation watch update from the school, Motherhouse and the Rectory. As of this update, all are on the evacuation watch list. The current concern is the forecasted dry lightning strikes beginning at 5:00pm this evening. Teachers and staff are remaining home, Fr. Mark and Msgr Manny are safe in the Rectory and the Sisters of the Dominician Motherhouse are ready with a bag packed, just in case. The Local Fire Department and Motherhouse have a plan to get the Sisters to a safe place if the need arises. I have been in contact with the Fathers and Sisters and their spirits are good and are ready to evacuate if needed. I have also been in contact with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of the Diocese of Oakland. They are keeping us close in prayer.
Peace & God bless,
Patti Calton
