Northern Lights Art Club

Art Club students are learning how to use art to reach out to their community. Art Club students recently made Halloween place mats for the clients at Memory Lane. The clients will use them to make their lunch area more festive!

What's Happening in the Art Room?!?!

Kindergarten- Students are working on learning about geometric and organic shapes. They are creating a multi media collage using paint and paper.

1st grade- Students are learning about the art of Juan Miro, a Spanish painter. They are creating abstract creatures using geometric/organic shapes and a variety of color.

2nd grade- Students are making color wheels. They are learning about the primary/secondary colors. They are also creating words using bubble/block letters.

3rd grade- Students are learning about Pablo Picasso and Cubism. They are creating their own cubist creations using geometric shapes and warm/cool colors.

4th grade- Students are creating POP ART! They are learning about Andy Warhol and the Pop Art movement. They are creating their own popular logos using different color schemes.

5th grade- 5th grade students are going to be creating their own POP ART style Onomatopoeia words! They are also looking at comic style pop art of Roy Lichtenstein.
