Carver Middle School Newsletter

March 15, 2020

Principal's Message

Greetings Carver MS,

Hopefully this newsletter finds our community members in the best of health and spirits. Carver MS will be open to the public from 8 am - 1 pm during our extended time out of school from. This time will be utilized to provide parents with an opportunity to pick up paper copies of assignments as necessary. Lunch and breakfast will be provided to all school aged children from 11 am-12 pm daily, beginning tomorrow.

While we will be out of school for the next two weeks, our teachers have provided a variety of resources to ensure that learning continues. Please use the links below to explore enriching activities and websites that students may utilize during our extended time out of school.

We will continue to communicate with our families as we are updated with changes to this evolving situation. Be healthy and safe. I look forward to seeing everyone soon!

Please join us in collecting plastic grocery store bags to benefit Carver MS. Our goal is to collect 500 lbs. of bags in order to earn a bench for our school. Please feel free to donate in the collection box in the Carver MS lobby.

Carver Middle School is looking to launch our own WATCH D.O.G.S (Dads of Great Students) organization. This organization will be comprised of dads, grandfathers, uncles, big brothers, and any other male role models in the lives of our students. We want our WATCH D.O.G.S. to volunteer their time in our school to better enhance the learning experience for all of our students, teachers, and staff. We will take any time you have to be in our building and be an additional presence of support for our school. If you are interested, please reach out to Dr. McLaurin at or at 804-524-3620.
