Because he realized that the world would never have complete peace. There will always be something to disagree about or two persons that disagree in something.
Because I've heard it before and I like the tine or mood it gave off. I also liked the beat and tempo if the music.

The audience that they are singing to is every single person in the world.
They reason that they sang this song is to promote people to get up and stand up for what they believe in and what they think is right.
The reason I chose this sing is because I saw that Linkin Park was the artist and I figured I might as well give it a try.
